Is Your NBN Pit and Lid Compliant to the Australian Standards and NBN Requirements?
NBN has released their new version of “Deployment of the NBN Pit and Conduit Network” to clarify the requirements for pit lids within their infrastructure to be compliant with AS 3996 and NBN standard NBN-TE-CTO-194 | Rev 11.0 | Section 4.3.2.
The main reason for their clarification was the amount of lids being manufactured with the NBN embossing that did not meet Australian Standards, particularly when it came to the Manufacturers Name.
The top of the NBN lid needs to clearly define:
- The Manufacturers name or trademark
- The number of the Australian Standard the lid conforms to
- Load Classification
- Weight of lid
- NBN logo to their requirements
