Industrial Relations and Employee Management - As a NECA member, you have access to up-to-date advice, documentation and assistance on a wide range of industrial relations and employment matters including wage rates, apprentices, contract of employment, overtime, allowances, disputes, termination of employment, superannuation, long service leave, workers compensation, enterprise bargaining agreements and more.
Workplace Health and Safety - NECA provides a range of resources and specialist advice to assist businesses address workplace health and safety issues. These include; safe work methods, toolbox talks, management plans, policies, procedures and an industry specific HSEQ manual, with accompanying Employee Guide to Safety and Hazard/Risk Identification booklets, which meets legislative requirements.
Technical Knowledge Base (TKB) - Can you imagine being able to search the Wiring Rules at the job site using your tablet or smart phone? Within seconds you could find the clause, figure or table you need, instantly search various Standards, network operator requirements, technical alerts, or download a free inspection checklist. Our Technical Knowledge Base, or TKB, is an online searchable database of Australian Standards, guidelines, Service & Installation Rules, codes of practice, legislation, alerts and updates, and more, tailored to the electrical, communications, refrigeration and air conditioning industries in SA and NT. NECA SA/NT members can receive up to 10 logins (or as many as their membership category allows, whichever is less) to the TKB.
Education and Training - NECA, in association with allied training partners, have developed a range of training programs which have been specifically designed for the electrical contracting industry and are provided at discount rates to members. Programs have a practical focus, so new skills can be applied immediately and cover a range of areas including: business management, estimating and contracting, WH&S, specialist technical, rescue and resuscitation courses, and many more. NECA also run workshops and seminars to assist members with topical issues in the industry.
Commercial and Contracts - NECA has the resources and expertise to help you operate your business more efficiently and profitably through the provision of information, assistance and documentation including: bi-monthly articles, contract template documents and associated management system, debt collection and payment claims advice, discounted stationery (including terms and conditions, job cards, time sheet booklets, estimating and quotation books, etc.), discounted legal or specialist advice to assist contractors manage business operations.
Business Management and Marketing Assistance - As a NECA member, you will receive up-to-date information, resources and advice on marketing and business management strategies and tips from our qualified staff. This includes, but is not limited to: advice on determining your target market and how to reach them, creating a business plan and managing your business resources (human, financial, physical, and knowledge) as well as marketing your business effectively and efficiently and assistance with your marketing strategies and materials including your website, company profile, social media etc.

Excellence Awards - The NECA Excellence Awards are open to nominations in each state, with state winners automatically entered into the National Awards held in November each year. These awards recognise the electrical and communications contractors and their projects in Australia each year.
Apprentice Awards - The annual NECA Apprentice of the Year Awards recognise the best and brightest aspiring talent in the electrotechnology industry. State winners are eligible to enter the National Awards. Apprentice receive great prizes and are presented with great opportunities to excel in their career.
