The training courses are hosted by NECA and will be delivered by NECA Training & Apprenticeships (ACT). 
 
Course 1 is tailored to meet the requirements of AS/NZS 3012:2019, focusing on electrical installations for construction and demolition sites. We go above and beyond by also incorporating relevant sections from other standards to ensure you have a well-rounded knowledge. 
 
If you are looking to master verification through inspection and testing, Course 2 is the one for you. This course aligns with the latest AS/NZS 3017:2022 Electrical Installations standards, providing you with the expertise needed to excel in your field. 
 
Both courses are available for just $800 each. NECA Members can apply for Keystone funding and receive an incredible 80% rebate on the course fee. Upon completion of each training course, NECA members will be issued with a Statement of Completion and 6 CPD points towards their Continual Professional Development.

CONSTRUCTION SITE WIRING RULES COURSES 
AS/NZS 3012 Electrical Installations - Construction and Demolition sites Course Training

Course Summary 
 
The course is designed specifically for licensed electrical trade’s personnel and other electrical industry professionals who work in the construction. All electrical contractors who attend this course will receive 6 CPD points towards their Continual Professional Development.  
  
Course Description 
 
The course is structured to cover the requirements of AS/NZS 3012:2019, ‘Electrical installations – Construction and demolition sites’ but also references relevant sections of other standards throughout.  
 
Topics covered include:   
  • General lighting – including required lux levels  
  • Emergency lighting and exit signs with references to AS/NZS 2293.1:2018  
  • Switchboard construction and installation  
  • Installation of construction wiring  
  • Frequency of verification (inspections) with reference to AS/NZS 3019:2007  
  • Portable generators  
  • Flexible extension cords  
  • Earth leakage protection  
  • Protection of final sub-circuits  
  • Auxiliary socket outlet assemblies  
  • Periodic Inspection of tools and plant  
  • Portable generators  
  • Lift shafts  
  • Re-locatable structures  
  • AS/NZS 3012 appendix ‘H’ or appendix ‘I’. What is enforceable?
