NECA intends to lobby the ESO to ban the sale of Solar arrays, inverters and isolators by unlicensed sales people who have little understanding of the hazards associated with the products they sell for profit and seek to outsource their responsibilities to electrical contractors. 

The recent Avanco isolator recall is a classic example of how these people deny responsibility for replacement of faulty products and fly by night leaving our industry and the public to pick up the pieces.

NECA will also be developing a public communications plan to urge solar buyers to check the ESOs licensed contractors data base to ensure they are buying these items from a licences electrician and not a sales front who then has an electrician install the items.
