Standards Australia Committee Representative
NECA has been invited by Standards Australia to nominate a representative to sit on Committee CT-001 (Communications Cabling) Committee.
Currently, there is a revision of AS 1049.2-2008 Telecommunication cables - Insulation, sheath and jacket, Part 2: Test methods in the pipeline, as well as the International Adoption of ISO/IEC 14763-2:2019 Information technology -- Implementation and operation of customer premises cabling Planning and installation.
The committee currently votes on international ballots for ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 25 and IEC/86C.
The next meeting is on 26 March 2020 at Standards Australia, with subsequent meetings planned for August and November this year. Meeting attendance is accommodated in person and via zoom.
