Illawarra Regional Focus on Skills and Workforce Development Workshops

The NSW Industry Training Advisory Bodies (ITABs) are visiting the Illawarra region to conduct a series of workshops for Employers, RTOs, Schools and other interested parties in Vocational Education and Training.

The purpose of the workshops is  to provide opportunities for discussions around issue regarding VET to look at possible projects that may be required to build the local workforce and fund skills development in the region. We have confirmed our Illawarra visit in partnership with the Illawarra office of Training Services NSW who is assisting the coordination of the ITABs roadshow in the region. 

Thes workshops will be held at Illawarra Leagues Club, 97 - 99 Church Street, Wollongong

  • RTOs:                Wednesday 30th August 9:30 am till 12:00 noon

  • Schools:            Wednesday 30th August 12:30 pm  till 3:30 pm

  • Employers:        Thursday 31st August 8:00 am till 11:00 am

NSW ITABs are a key source of industry advice for the NSW Government.  NSW ITABs provide streamlined, unique and timely advice to the Department on the training and skill needs of their NSW industry sectors to facilitate workforce development.

NSW ITABs work collaboratively with other relevant state, territory and commonwealth stakeholders in the sharing of information on industry training and skills needs in New South Wales.

This is your opportunity to meet your industry representatives, be updated on the latest developments in your industry sector and provide feedback to the ITABs and Training Services NSW to ensure the training needs of the Illawarra Region are met into the future.
