NECA across Australia represents members on most Australian Standards Committees that affect the Electrotechnology Sector. This representation allows members to have a say and be kept informed on Standards that are important to what they are doing, like Electrical work, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Security, Telecommunications, ASP work etc.

Consensus-based standards have been a focus of the Technical Committees. However, did you know that everyone has an opportunity to review the content of an updated standard prior to its completion? Make sure you have your say, either through NECA or as an individual.

Anyone wishing to propose a new project at Standards Australia (whether it be a new standard, a revision or an amendment) will need to complete and submit a Proposal Form.
