Extension of the exemption for the temporary unavailability of 80amp SPD/MPDs
NSW Government, Department of Industry has issued a notice regarding the exemption for 80amp SPD/MPDs.
Due to the lack of availability of 80 amp fuse cartridges, dispensation was granted to use 100 amp fuses as an interim measure, but only where Type 5 or 6 meters were installed.
This dispensation expired on 16th December 2016.
It is becoming obvious that 80 Amp SPD/MPD’s are still difficult to obtain at the present time. DRE is extending the exemption date until C.O.B. Friday 21 April 2017, which should allow adequate time for shipment and dispersal of the said goods.
