Rescue Plan

New Rescue Plan Available for all Members to Download

We have developed a new Rescue Plan for all members of NECA and RACCA to utilise. A Rescue Plan is required whenever a PCBU requires a worker to be connected to a fall arrester as part of risk control measure. Regulation 80 of the WHS Regulations states that a PCBU must establish emergency procedures including rescue procedures and that the emergency procedure must be tested.

If a person falls you must initiate your Rescue Plan to retrieve the person that is suspended in a harness, simply calling 000 is not acceptable. A Rescue Plan can be rehearsed in a toolbox talk or pre start meeting and must be written down ensuring all workers know what their role is in the event of a person falling.

Members can simply log in to download the Rescue Plan.
