Rescue and Resuscitation Training

Your Requirements

Electrical contractors and workers should be aware that it is mandatory for electrical workers to be competent in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with section 68 of the Electricity (General) Regulations 2012. This regulation prescribes that "persons required to carry out, or help carry out, electrical work must be suitably trained in rescue and resuscitation in accordance with the requirements of the Technical Regulator".

The course available to meet these requirements is the Rescue and Resuscitation course, which NECA SA/NT were involved in developing. The course contains several components specific to the electrical working environment including of course resuscitation accreditation. The course can be undertaken through St John Ambulance or Surf Life Saving SA (with discount for NECA and RACCA members) or PEER.
