Free tests for loose-fill asbestos insulation in the Tamworth

It has been confirmed that loose-fill asbestos insulation has been found in a home in the Tamworth Regional Council area.

As a result, NSW Fair Trading is now offering 250 free tests for loose-fill asbestos insulation in the Tamworth Regional Council area.

Safety Alert - Live Low Voltage Work on Underground Mains and Apparatus

An Ausgrid worker received an electric shock while undertaking cable jointing of an energised cable in a cable pit. 

The worker required medical treatment on site and was then transferred to hospital. He has since been released and returned home.
