PPC Reminder - EnergySafety Guidelines

The festive season will soon be upon us and with that comes warmer weather. 

Statistics show an increased trend in preventable incidents at this time of year.

People may be inclined to overindulge in food and/or alcohol during festive activities and this can result in lethargic and complacent behaviour that may lead to injuries. Additionally, people may be inclined to wear less clothing in the warmer weather. It is sad to say but there have been recent electrical incidents amongst apprentices and tradesmen where the injuries sustained would have been less severe if the correct personal protective clothing (PPC) had been worn.

EnergySafety have released guidelines of the recommended PPC to be worn when working around electricity:
