Safety Alert: Urgent safety warning after workers sustain critical arc flash burns

Two electrical workers have received significant arc flash burns after working live on a switchboard at a shopping centre in Ashmore, Gold Coast. Both workers are in hospital, one worker is in a very critical condition and the Queensland Electrical Safety Office (ESO) are investigating the incident.

Electrical lineworkers licensed for the first time in Victoria

More than 2,000 electrical lineworkers (including cable jointers) have signed up to receive their first lineworker licence under Energy Safe Victoria’s (ESV) new licensing regime, which commenced on 1 January 2021.
