Two Week Lockdown Ends With Some Restrictions Still in Place

We received confirmation from the Victorian Government yesterday that the lockdown restrictions will ease from 11.59PM, today.  A high level summary of the changes are below:

Metro Melbourne:

  • Work in occupied households for renovations, solar installs and minor repairs is now allowed in metro areas  
  • Offices can re-open with a 25 per cent return or up to 10 people if total workforce is 40 or less
  • Face masks will continue to be required indoors (unless exempted)
  • People can now travel for work at an interstate location (where permitted by another state), education, caregiving or getting a vaccination with an expanded 25km radius
  • Travel to Regional Victoria is not allowed except for work or education, necessary goods and services (if they cannot be accessed within 25km of home), care and compassionate reasons and COVID-19 vaccination

Regional Victoria:

  • Face masks will continue to be required indoors (unless exempted)
  • Offices can re-open with a 50 per cent return or up to 20 people if total workforce is 40 or less
  • People will be able to leave home for any reason
  • Travel to Metro Melbourne is not allowed except for work or education, necessary goods care, compassionate reasons and COVID-19 vaccination
  • Can welcome two guests a day into their home
