Government Funding for Apprentice Employers

The Australia government is committed in supporting the development of National Skills Needs List occupations (NSNL).

There are financial incentives and benefits available for electrical contractors who are thinking or currently employing an apprentice. Employers and apprentices must satisfy the eligibility criteria in order to access the financial incentives and benefits.

A snapshot of what businesses may be eligible for:

•Standard incentives of up to $4,000
•Payroll tax rebates
•Workers Compensation exemption
•Extra incentives to assist in the employment of those with a disability, matured aged, school-based and Indigenous Australians
