Reducing Young Worker Injuries

In the Electrical, Communications and Refrigeration Industries

SafeWork SA is developing a strategy focused on reducing young worker injuries, illnesses and deaths.

As a part of this strategy the Central Queensland University research team has developed a survey to engage young workers across South Australia in order to find out their understanding of and experiences with work health and safety.

To get as many young workers as possible to complete the survey we ask that you forward the attached flyer to your young workers to encourage participation from the Electrical Industry.

This project will develop a strategy for work health and safety for young workers.

  • We want to find out what they know about health and safety at work.

  • We want to know what can go wrong at work for them.

  • We want to know how they deal with health and safety problems at work.

  • We want to know what types of people can help them be safe and healthy at work.

  • We want to hear their stories about things that improve work health and safety and things that don’t.

  • We would like young workers to be part of this project? Their participation is voluntary.

This research is funded by SafeWork SA and has been approved by the CQUni Human Research Ethics Committee.
