NECA, AMCA, MPA and NFIA Team Up to Provide Seminar on Contract Terms and Risk Management

NECA SA/NT has teamed up with the Air Conditioning and Mechanical Contractors Association (AMCA), the Master Plumbers Association (MPA) and the National Fire Industry Association (NFIA) to deliver an indepth seminar on Contract Terms and Risk Management for subcontractors.

The hierarchy in the contractual chain in the building industry means that subcontractors lower in the chain are more vulnerable to poor payment practices, unfair contractual terms, the shifting of risk and insolvency further up the contractual chain.

Do you want to be able to:

  • Identify contractual terms that put you at risk?

  • Understand unfair risk allocation?

  • Provide conditions of contract that reflect fairer contractual terms?

  • Have Special Conditions included in your tender response documents?

If you answered yes then this is the seminar for you.

Tom Walker and Patrick Connelly from Clelands Lawyers Adelaide will be facilitating this seminar.

The training session will take approximately two and a half hours and will include:

  • A PowerPoint Notes handout
  • Nine key areas of contractual risk along with Special Conditions for your future use, provided as a Word document on a USB to each registrant
  • How to manage subcontract negotiations
  • Details of who you can contact in your association to effect better contractual terms.
