Changes to Annual Leave for Award Covered Employees

The Full Bench of the Fair Work Commission, as part of its 4 year Modern Award Review, set down a decision on 11 June 2015 to vary terms relating to Annual Leave in all Modern Awards.

In its decision, the Full Bench made determinations on; cashing out annual leave, excessive annual leave, annual close down, granting annual leave in advance, payment of annual leave on termination of employment, and paying annual leave by EFT. 

While the decision will affect all employees covered by Modern Awards (once it is formally inserted into the Awards shortly), it will not affect existing Enterprise Agreements.
