Essential Energy BetterConnect Project Expression of Interest

Level 2 ASP's and electrical contractors are invited to take part in Essential Energy's BetterConnect program. As part of its overall transformation program, they are looking to make their connections process easier and simpler. Essential Energy's vision is to deliver an outstanding customer connection experience across the end-to-end process.

 

The journey so far...

In May this year, Essential Energy launched the BetterConnect portal for Level 3 ASPs, which greatly improved four key contestable design processes. The portal release was the first step in Essential Energy’s journey to improve how connections are delivered. A lot of good learnings and changes continue to be made to improve the customer experience and efficiency of the process.

 

What next?

A project has now commenced to complete the design of all Essential Energy’s future connections processes, both Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV), from enquiry/application through to construction, commissioning and project closeout. This includes further enhancements to the BetterConnect portal where required to manage connections.

 

How you can get involved

Essential Energy is seeking Accredited Service Providers and electrical contractors to join its BetterConnect Customer Reference Group to ensure that the future design of its connections processes and portal meet your needs.

Please complete the Expression of Interest form if you have:

  • Significant experience using their current processes;
  • An understanding of the current pain points of those processes; and
  • A willingness to collaborate on idea generation and design of future processes.

Further details regarding the BetterConnect Customer Reference Group will be provided in the new year.
