NESS Super lunchtime sessions at NECA's Centre of Excellence in the ACT

In October 2020, NESS Super conducted the first series of lunchtime talks with the young apprentices at NECA ACT.  The sessions were aimed at helping young members navigate through the maze of superannuation.

At NESS Super, we are passionate about super and helping young apprentices, employers, their employees, and self-employed contractors understand their super so that they can make the most of their super.

These valuable sessions highlighted how super, particularly when members are engaged and start thinking about super when they first enter the workforce, can make a big difference to their future retirement nest egg.

Super is one of the biggest financial assets most Australians will ever have.  By making the right choices early on, members will end up with a significantly better lifestyle in retirement.

Below are five key areas where NESS Super may help you get started.

  1. First Home Savers Scheme – using super to build a deposit for your first home
  2. Insurance cover – which includes Death, Terminal and Permanent Disablement and Income Protection
  3. Members right to choose which super fund their employers pays your superannuation contributions to
  4. How consolidating super reduces fees
  5. Choosing investment options based on what risks a member is willing to take

At NESS Super, we have been lighting the way forward for our members in the electrical and communications industries since 1987 and we operate on the principle, 'we're large enough to matter, small enough to care' and we are one of the few niche industry specific funds.

If you need assistance or you need to discuss anything superannuation related, please don’t hesitate to chat with our Employer Services Team, who are waiting to take your call,  between 8.30am and 6.00pm (Sydney time) Monday to Friday on 1800 022 067 or email us at nessadmin@nesssuper.com.au
