NECA appointed to PaTH Business Placements Partnerships panel to create pathways for young Australians into jobs

The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA) has been chosen as one of twelve industry groups on the Morrison Government panel to co-design the new $10 million PaTH Business Placements Partnerships Trial, which will come up with new ways for young people to get into work.

NECA’s involvement in the two-year trial will be to provide expertise and knowledge to find new pathways for young people through tailored pre-employment pathways, services and other support. These pathways will be designed to meet the needs of both employers and job seekers.

Oliver Judd, NECA CEO said:

“We’d like to thank Minister Cash and the Australian Government for including NECA on the national panel. We look forward to working collaboratively and innovatively on behalf of thousands of electrical and communications contracting businesses across the country to help young people kick-start their careers.

“Skills development and access to jobs are integral to NECA’s approach. Apprentices who become qualified through our colleges are some of the most highly skilled and job-ready. We will bring this experience and expertise to the table to support the government in their mission to get young Australians into work.”
