Compliant Distribution boards for any application

IPD’s Evolution range of distribution boards have been updated to suit the new ABB System pro M compact®. Whether you’re installing new systems, integrating electrical plants or revamping pre-existing electrical systems, ABB System pro M compact® range, including Insite monitoring solutions, has been specifically developed to meet requirements of energy and asset management by monitoring and controlling the energy flow in sub distribution boards. It offers the widest range of products and scalable solutions that improve installation efficiency and save time and cost without impacting the existing design configuration.

The InSite system collects data from devices such as energy and power meters, network analyzers, protection components like MCBs and RCDs that are equipped with current sensors as well as the integration of additional digital Input and Output modules. Thanks to the scalability of the system, it can easily be integrated in existing installations without replacing any components and can fit in any size of commercial and industrial buildings.

Along with this significant change to the core components, there have been other small but notable improvements made to the design at the same time. Installation contractors will particularly appreciate the increased space at the top of the board for cable termination, especially when using a spreader connection kit on the XT3D non-auto MCCB main switch. IPD have tested various configurations in accordance with the new AS/NZS 61439 standard, which replaces AS/NZS 3439. Verifications are made in relation to these reference tests during the design phase of a custom solution to ensure that your IPD board is fully compliant to the new standard.

With the changes that came from AS/NZS3000:2018, particularly clauses 2.6.3.2.2 & 2.6.3.2.3, there is now a significantly increased requirement for RCD protection on three phase circuits. The Evolution range can accommodate ABB DS203NC 3P+N RCBOs with a chassis that is fully RWBN, a mix of RWBN and RWB or even fully customised with the tee-offs positioned to a custom layout.

IPD offers the capability to design a custom distribution board tailored specifically to the needs of the individual application.  The most common reason for a customised board is to comply with the separate light and power metering requirements of the BCA Section J8.  IPD can offer boards with split chassis or even three or four separate chassis if there are other sections.
