2016 NECA QLD Excellence and Apprentice Awards

The best Queensland (QLD) electrical and communications contractors and apprentices were recognised at the annual electrical industry Excellence and Apprentice Awards hosted by peak Australian industry body the National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA). Hosted by Sharyn Ghidella with guest speakers Trevor “The Axe” Gillmeister and Mark Bailey MP Minister for Energy, Water and Main Roads.

In the Excellence Awards, NECA QLD awarded eight major awards across eight categories and in the Apprentice Awards there were three major award recipients across two categories. Finalists were presented in front of 250 industry representatives including contractors, suppliers, educators and government representatives at the pinnacle showcase of the electrical and communications industry at Brisbane City Hall.

NECA QLD also had the opportunity to present lifetime memberships to its past President and Technical Consultant.

Executive Director of NECA Queensland, Mr Mick Logan said the winning companies and apprentices were chosen because of their commitment to excellence, significant engineering achievements and finishing the complex jobs on time.
