NECA expresses condolences on Morley Galleria incident
The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA), the peak electrical industry throughout Australia, expresses its deepest condolences to the families and friends of the electrical contractors involved in yesterday’s fatal explosion in Perth, in which two people have died and a further two have suffered serious burns following an incident at the Morley Galleria Shopping Centre.
The Executive Director of NECA WA, Garry Itzstein expressed his sorrow for yesterday’s tragic incident. “On behalf of NECA and its thousands of members throughout Australia, our thoughts are with the deceased and injured workers and their families. We also wish to acknowledge the selfless efforts of the many people who rushed to the assistance of the injured contractors.”

Morley Galleria Incident Appeal
NECA WA established an appeal for members of the electrical industry and the general public to donate money which was used to provide support to the families of the deceased and injured workers. A total of $140,174.32 was raised - thank you for your overwhelming generosity.
