The industry comes together to acknowledge excellence and the outstanding work of the 58 finalists that have submitted projects, won their State Award and are now in the running for a National prize.

Guest Speaker: The Hon Karen Andrews MP

The Hon Karen Andrews MP is the Assistant Minister for Vocational Education and Skills and the Federal Member for McPherson, representing the southern suburbs and towns of Queensland’s Gold Coast. Karen entered Parliament at the 2010 election – having graduated as one of only two female graduates in Mechanical Engineering at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT). She later worked at power stations and petrochemical plants across Regional Australia. Karen has also previously operated an HR and Industrial Relations consultancy and served as the Assistant Minister for Science, prior to the 2016 election.

Event MC: Jeff Green

Award-winning British comedian and well-known face and voice on Australian TV for over 20 years now. Amongst his many Australian TV credits are Spicks and Specks, Dirty Laundry (ABC), Good News Week (Ten), The Big Music Quiz (Seven) as well as numerous appearances on the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala (Ten).

NECA has a group booking rate of $290.00 per room per night for a Park King room (1 x buffet breakfast included) OR $320 per room per night for a Park King room (2 x buffet breakfasts included) - but rooms are limited, so don't delay.

Any reservations not cancelled 30 days prior to the arrival time will incur a cancellation charge equivalent to one night’s accommodation.
